Parts of Benguet and Mountain province may have a power interruption lasting as long as 12 hours on Friday, Aug. 28, while a 30-minute interruption may affect parts of Benguet.
The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said this in an advisory Wednesday, Aug. 26.
It said the Aug. 28 power interruption is scheduled 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will affect:
– Benguet Electric Cooperative Inc. North Sanitary Camp, Irisan, Atok and Mankayan Substations
– Mountain Province Electric Cooperative (MOPRECO) franchise area
This is due to the commissioning and energizing of new 300-megavolt power transformer and associated equipment at La Trinidad substation.
Also, the NGCP said there would be line maintenance at La Trinidad–Sagada 69-kilovolt line.
On Aug. 30, a power interruption from 8 to 8:30 a.m. will affect BENECO Lamut and Itogon substations.
This seeks to facilitate substation works in relation to the upgrading project at La Trinidad Substation.
