Kinumpirma ni Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 ang isang executive ng Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. na iniimbestigahan ng Senado hinggil sa overpricing ng medical supplies.
Ayon kay Sotto, nasa house arrest ngayon si Pharmally director Linconn Ong kung saan nakabantay ang mga kagawad ng Office of the Senate Sgt. At Arms (OSAA).
Hindi naman nakadalo sa pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon committee kahapon si dating presidential economic adviser Michael Yang matapos atakihin ng alta presyon, ayon sa abogado nitong si Raymond Fortun.
“I regret that Mr. Michael Yang would not be able to attend today’s hearing. We are supposed to be meeting here at the place in Insular Village 1 before 9:30 today. On the way, he had texted me and then called and said his blood pressure suddenly shot up and for that reason, he was advised by his doctor to stay at home,” paliwanag ni Fortun.
Sabi ng abogado, magsusumite ng medical certificate ang kanyang kliyente.
Ipinaalala naman ni Senador Richard Gordon, chairman ng komite, na dapat pa ring dumalo sa pagdinig si Yang dahil may umiiral na arrest order dito dahil sa contempt.
